Happy New Year

ok, so its not new years yet... too damn bad

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

So my new years is gonna be kinda sucky. Christmas was ok. Everything went off with nary a hitch. Held Christmas Eve at our house. Was an experience lol. Then has christmas for my family at my grandmas. This is the first time I will be seeing my dad since he kicked us out. Havent talked to him either. We get to grandmas(thankfully tamara napped most of the car ride) and grandma takes me over to dad, says merry christmas, and pushes me into him. lol. well it certainly prevented us from avoiding each other. We still didnt say much... well anything really... while we were there. but as we got ready to go we hugged and he was like "you know you can call me sometime". Now, when we got kicked out, and got our shit out, dad was having serious issues. dont know what his problem was, but he was being an ass about everything. Then he basically disowned me as we picked up our last load. so thats why i havent talked to him. Well dad is a prideful man, so thats as close as he gets to an apology. So we have had tentative talks online since then. WELL, monday night, i start getting a bit of a sore throat and a headache. i thought nothing of it. it had been a hectic 2 days. maybe i was getting a bit of a cold....... yea, right. woke up tuesday morning with a headache almost migraine worthy, horrible sore throat, and i felt like i'd been beat up i was so achey. it also hurt to be touched. (so much for comforting) so i called in. no way could i work like that. woke up wednesday much the same way. called in again. however by this point andrew had picked me up some cold/sinus shit. it held off most of the symptons. enough so that thursday i decided i could work... big mistake >.<>

Snow

Ok so yea, we had some snow. hmm.... maybe 'some' is an understatement. Some places around Peoria recorded 2 feet of snow, some as little as 1 foot. Little... pfft. It was some crazy shit. Work expected me to make it in. At least for a little while. Then they decided to close for the rest of the day. Imagine that. People can't get out of their driveways let alone their rural streets and main highways. Our street didn't get plowed until around noon... but the entrance to the area we lived didnt get plowed till much later. How retarded is that? Not that it did much good to get out. Just about nothing was open. Cops and the news told people to stay home unless it was an emergency. Grocery stores and Walmart were it... and the occasional gas station. But they all closed early. I would have too. As it was it took us 5 hours to get our car, Andrew's mom's car, AND the driveway cleared. >.<

Oh, and did i mention that this was Tamara's first REAL introduction to snow? Last year we just bundled her up in her little snow suit thingy (it made her look like a fluffy pink starfish.... a CUTE fluffy pink starfish ^^. I still have pix of it in my phone lol) But she has this really awesome snow suit this year. its got a detachable hood, plus a cute cat faced hood thing to go under it, and a scarf(attached), and gloves(also attached), and these cute little detachable booties. Except her feet are too big to fit into them with her shoes on. *sigh* She was ok with the snow as long as she was in someones arms. Preferably mine. But she did get introduced to the snow. She kinda fell onto it. It got her one hand wet and let me tell you, she FLIPPED out. So, baby steps with the snow lol.
